We climbed the Machame Route of Kilimanjaro over 7 days with the support of an amazing team: Kambona Mollel (our capable main guide and trip organizer), Adamson (our cheerful assistant guide), our incredible cook Rumisha and all of the wonderful, hard-working porters. The trip was spectacularly beautiful, as well as a spiritual adventure. We felt humbled and grateful to reach the summit, after a full-moon night of hiking.

Following our climb, we did a 5-day safari to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We were mesmerized by the behavior and majesty of lions, gazelles, elephants, giraffes, and hippos, not to mention the great variety of birdlife. The Hippo Trails Camp was glamping to the fullest.

It was the trip and adventure of a lifetime! We can't thank Kambona and the team enough for their thorough preparation and competent and kind care.

Five days trekking on Mount Kilimanjaro, with Elevate Trekking & Safaris was not just an outstanding contact with nature. It was a travel to philosophy. A journey out of space and time: through the myth of Kibo and Mawenzi, the two peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro, two brothers tight together by smile and love. It was a lesson on the beauty and importance of slowness: pole-pole (slowly-slowly), be patient, when you reach the top you must be able to descend!
We made it! Uhuru peak - the peak of Freedom - no name could have better described how we felt, what we reached for a moment!
We really felt close to our guides and porters: protected, like in a family, and strong, like you can feel with a true friend on your side. We could exchange jokes, experiences and affection. Our amazing experience had been possible thanks to them and the all team of Elevate Trekking & Safaris.
The safari taught us that nature always rewards patience. Our guide brought us close enough to contemplate life at the greatest expression of its wildness.
As I told to my friends, Elevate Trekking & Safaris in Tanzania helped us to climb on the top of ourselves, from there we could see how small, but also how rich and beautiful we are: because part of such an amazing world, part of Africa! The holiday in Tanzania we have just returned from was the most exciting and unforgettable thing we have ever done. My two friends and I booked our trip with Elevate Trekking & Safari, after the recommendation of a friend. We are very satisfied and thankful about that. We did the 5 days Marangu Route, accompanied of a wonderful, friendly and warm team of two guides, a chef and 8 porters. They did the best for us to have everything we need and to make our trip easy. They were carrying our staff, encouraging and supporting us in our effort every day, they were cooking the tastiest food and offering us a cup tea, always with the warmest smile. Our two guides Adamson and Paulo made our route to Uhuru unforgettable. They have experience, knowledge, and respect for the mountain and the nature. They love their job and enjoy climbing and making people feel like at home. We learned a lot from them, we trusted them from the first moment and we succeeded together to reach the summit.
After Kilimanjaro, we went a 3 days safari in Serengeti Park and Ngorongoro crater. Our guide Michael brought us so close to the wildlife of Africa and explained us a lot about the animals and the nature of savanna. He was very experienced and knowledgeable of the region. We appreciated a lot that he was driving and finding animals, without following a car convoy, something very usual in the park, or taking information through telephone about places, where animals have been seeing.
It was an amazing and demanding trip, which we will never forget. We were lucky to have organized our holidays with Kambona and his team. We succeeded to overcome ourselves and reach our targets and that because of them. We left Tanzania full of pictures, experiences, and the feeling that we have to come but soon.

Being one meter in front of a lion and feeling very safe? I could never imagine that this would happen. We had a great safari time with Elevate Trekking & Safaris, we saw a lot of wild animals and learned also a lot about their life. The guide could "read" the attitude of an animal and understand in which direction they want to go, if they want to eat and so on. It was amazing to hear so many things about wild animals. The company made us feel very safe. We totally recommend the company.
